When was the last time you experienced what you thought was the worst moment of your life? The most heart-wrenching loss? That event in your life that you thought you would never overcome? Now look back on your life today. Do you think the lessons you learned then made you a different person now? Was it a necessary setback to get you back on the right track? If this is the case, then you have learned the lesson that God wanted you to learn. And this is the reason you are still here today. Because you passed the test, learned the lesson, and now your job is to impart this lesson to others and to continue a life filled with God’s love and light.
Why does God test our faith?
Suppose you were still struggling with the trials that came your way. Would you have sought God for help? A lot if us would. In fact, there are many among us who only seek God when troubles come their way. These people pray to God and make time for church on Sundays when they are facing tough challenges in life. Be it a personal loss, challenges in their own health, financial worries, and whatnot. Then when their problems have gone away, they go back to their old ways where the word of God is merely an afterthought for them. This is but one of the reasons why God tests us. She wants to test our faith and see how strongly we believe in Him.
Believing in God’s word
What kind of challenges does God allow to happen in our lives? From our point of view, these challenges may seem like the hardest, most difficult ones. Challenges that we could barely survive from. But God uses these challenges to test our faith and to strengthen our belief in Him. God will not give us challenges that we could not win over. So when you feel that what you are going through right now is very difficult, trust that God knows you can overcome these hurdles in life. Whatever harm or peril that life brings to you, God will give you the means to survive. You only need to embrace Him in times of need, be humble and ask for forgiveness, ask for the courage and strength to overcome the challenges in your life.
Cure for the sick, the hurting, and the afflicted
We will meet many people in our lives and some of them could hurt us, betray us, or even cause us harm. This is an inevitable fact of life. Nobody is given protection from these things. But as long as you believe in God and you put him at the center of your life, you will always find a way to come out on top if you trust in the Lord.
God will always put a silver lining amidst the darkness you are experiencing. He will heal your brokenness and give you hope in times of despair.
